Endless Tower
Intro    Floors 1-99    Floor 100    Final Area

The Alberta sailors used to talk about an unexplored seaway covered by a fog so thick, no fleet could navigate through it. Many people were curious about what was beyond the fog, and there were many theories and guesses, but nothing came from the ocean beyond the fog, and those that braved that foggy seaway never returned.

Once Satan Morroc resurrected, that thick ocean fog suddenly dissipated. It was rumored that the impact from Satan Morroc's revival caused the fog to disappear, but the sailors were too excited to question the fog's sudden disappearance: now that the fog was no longer an obstacle, they could steer their ships to brave that frontier ocean. In the center of the waters at the end of that seaway, they discovered an island on which an enormous tower was built. There was nothing special about the island itself, but the tower was so tall that it seemed to scrape the very sky.

The explorers wondered about why the tower was built, far from known civilization. When was it constructed, and who built it? The answers were probably inside that tower, but they found that the inside of it was infested by fearsome monsters that were too powerful for them to confront. It was impossible for them enter the tower without throwing away their lives.

News of the mysterious tower quickly spread throughout the Rune Midgard Continent, and everyone across the land was soon talking about it. The Rune-Midgarts Government decided to start official expedition recruitment, inviting adventurers from all over the kingdom to find the answers behind the mystery of the tower.

The mysterious tower in the middle of the ocean has now been revealed. Are there any adventurers in the world that are strong enough to conquer it?

Introduction

The Endless Tower is one of the two dungeons as part of the Memorial Dungeon System. This system brings instanced dungeons (dungeons generated in real time for a party of players) to Ragnarok Online for the first time.

The Endless Tower is an increasingly difficult set of challenges, as the players make their way up the tower. The Endless Tower is not actually endless, but consists of a total of 100 small floors that players must battle their way through, with a boss encounter on every 5th floor. Atop the tower on floor 100, lies the boss Entweihen Crothen. Special players who meet the requirements may be able to continue on to fight Naght Sieger, the Hegemon-King of Darkness. These battles function similar to the Izlude arena, with players being required to defeat all monsters in a particular challenge before the door to the next room can open.

The Endless Tower entrance is located on what is called the Misty Island. In the Port of Alberta you can find a sailor that will take you to the island for a small donation of 10,000 zeny.

Take care to remember that while inside the dungeon, it is possible to lose experience by dying.

Instanced Dungeon

The Endless Tower is a Memorial Dungeon. This means to enter, the party leader needs to talk to the entrance controller and reserve a dungeon for use. This process may take a minute or so, and while you are waiting a window will show you your position in the queue. Once complete, an instance will be made and your party can enter the instance through the entrance controller. Only members of your own party can enter the instance your leader has created. Other players doing the Endless Tower concurrently will be in their own separate intances.

Remember that because the instance is created specifically for a single party of players, leaving the party will cause you to be immediately ejected from the dungeon, and if the leader disbands the party the dungeon will immediately close. Players are also unable to log out within the dungeon, as doing so will return them to their save point. Players are allowed to leave and enter the dungeon while it is active (restricted by the dark ash), but the dungeon will close automatically if there are no players inside for 5 minutes.

For the sake of server load issues, a new instance cannot be created in the hours leading up to War of Emperium and during the War.

Time Limit and Cool Down

When the Endless Tower is first opened for your party, the dungeon will remain open for up to 4 hours. During the 4 hours you will be able to enter and leave the instance as long as it remains open and you have a dark ash. At the end of the 4 hour limit, all players currently inside the instance will be returned to their save point.

Additionally, there is a cool down time associated with Endless Tower. Starting from the moment you first enter the Endless Tower, you will be unable to enter or create additional Endless Tower intances for a full 7 days. You can talk to the controller to find out how much time you have remaining on the cooldown.

Skill Limitations

Because of the unique layout of the Endless Tower dungeon, the following skills are blocked from being used:

- Teleport
- Ice Wall
- Fiberlock
- Snatch

Note that these skills are not only blocked for players, but also monsters. Skills that cause teleport effect, such as the monster skill 'Exile' and the 'Lovers' Tarot Card also will not function here.

Dark Ash and the Immortal Brazier

This feature is customized for iRO, and may be different for other RO's.

While advancing up the tower, at several points you will automatically obtain an item called Dark Ash. The Dark Ash is an account bound item. The item is automatically placed into your inventory when you advance to the 25th, 50th, 75th, and 100th floors. Be careful because if you wait too long before entering the portal, as you may not be given the dark ash.

If for any reason you end up leaving the Endless Tower, you'll need to have at least one dark ash on you to re-enter. If you do not have any dark ash available to you, your attempt at the tower is over and you will need to wait for the cooldown period to end before performing another attempt. One ash is consumed upon re-entry.

On the very first floor of the Endless Tower, near the very entrance is a torch called the Immortal Brazier. This item is designed to easily allow players who leave the tower to progress quickly back up to the party. Players can activate the torch to allow them to warp back to the 25th, 50th, or 75th floors, presuming those floors have been cleared on your current attempt of the tower.
