Mechanics 

Playing on the Free Server

  • Any valid kRO game account will allow you to play on the free game server. Its status as a paid or unpaid account doesn't matter, an account does not need to be paid to play.
  • You access the free server from the regular patch client. Two buttons exist, one for main servers, and one for free servers. The free server option will launch the game and allow you to login to the free server.

Server Rates

  • Experience and Drop rates of monsters is reduced by 50% from main servers.
  • Storage is limited to 300 items instead of 600 of main servers.
  • Premium service for additional experience/drops/storage is planned, but not implimented at this time.

  • The cost of kafra shop items is slightly (20%-40%) higher than that of the main pay servers.

Net Cafe Premium Service 

Gravity has partnered with many PC internet gaming cafe's across Korea to offer a series of premium plans. By being a member of a participating cafe, you are considered to have a Silver membership. Gravity offers a gold tier premium plan however which includes the net cafe fees that gives you additional benefits online. Although Baphomet is a free server, these benefits can be used to improve your gameplay experience on Baphomet as well. This Net Cafe game service is called 'PCBang' (visit the PCBang homepage here). Note that membership to the Gravity PCbang service entitles you to game time and bonus features in all gravity games, including Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Online 2, Requiem Online, Pucca Racing, Time 'n Tales, Emil Chronicles Online, W-Baseball, and Body Check Online.

    Kafra Shop Items 

    The following is a list of Kafra Shop items available for purchase on the kRO free game server. Due to differences in currency between Korea and the US, items are listed in terms of points, not a dollar value. The actual point cost of the items has been adjusted to show the equivilant value as if it were sold on iRO servers. The direct point cost in Korea is aproximately 110 points per $1 US. Note that the kRO server shop items are roughly 20%-50% more expensive than those of the main servers.

    Consumable Items 

    Marriage Certificate
    		 A one time ticket that allows two players to marry. It is required to marry on the free game server, and takes the place of the zeny fee. Cost of 1: 350 points
    Emperium
    		 Allows a player to form a guild and become its guild leader. The emperium is bound to your account when you purchase it. Monsters on the free game server do not drop emperium, so it is available only via Kafra Shop. Cost of 1: 390 points
    Greed Scroll
    		 Scrolls which allow the player to cast Greed Lv 1. The same restrictions on locations you can use Greed apply to this item. Cost of 20: 40 points
    Cost of 50: 100 points
    Mental Potion
    		 For 30 minutes, gives MaxSP+10%, and reduces SP cost of skills by 10%. Cost of 20: 120 points
    Cost of 50: 250 points
    Tyr's Blessing
    		 For 5 minutes, grants ATK+20, MATK+20, FLEE + 30, HIT + 30. These bonus effects are the same as the three items sesame pastry, honey pastry, and rainbow cake, and as a result the effect will not stack with those items. Cost of 20: 120 points
    Cost of 50: 250 points
    Quagmire Scroll
    		 Scrolls which allow the player to cast Quagmire Lv 5. The normal restrictions in terms of quagmire placement still apply with the scroll. Cost of 10: 20 points

    Convex Mirror
    		 Allows you to see the location of an MVP boss monster on the current map for 10 minutes. If the boss monster is dead or dies within the durration, you will be told when the monster will appear. The item effect is cancelled if you leave the map or log out. Lord of the Dead, Biolabs Boss Monsters, Ktullanux, Memory of Thanatos, and some other event MVPs cannot be detected by using this item. Cost of 5: 120 points
